A custom window has a placement and size different than described above.  Note, a custom window can be added to nearly any other size envelope.

Commercial & Official "standard" Window Envelopes

 

Standard Window envelopes have a window size of 4½"  wide by 1--1/8 high, placed 7/8" from the left side of the envelope and ½" from the bottom. However, 8--5/8 standard window is 1"x3-3/4" or 1"x4"; 1 1/8" from the left; 3/4" from the bottom
